I am trying to order LS-I/LS-II but it is not going through and says something is wrong?

If you are trying to order a course or product off the NAILD site and are getting the “something is wrong” message after attempting payment, this is because you already have an account on the site and are trying to pay as a guest. Please log in (reset password if needed) and attempt again and it will go through successfully.

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password here. If you input your email and it is not recognized, we may have you in the system under a different email address or you may not be in the system yet. If you don’t get the password reset email, check your spam folder and/or add info@naild.org to your address book and try again. If you still have issues logging in please email info@naild.org for support.

I would like to join NAILD, how do I do so?

There are several ways to join NAILD. Whether you are a lighting professional looking to join NAILD on your own as an individual or if you are a lighting distributor or manufacturer and would like your company to join NAILD, please fill out the appropriate form on the join now page and we will be in contact with you.

What ways can I volunteer/donate/give back to NAILD?

There are many ways to get involved with NAILD! If you are a member, you can step up and join the NAILD Board of Directors. Join us for monthly meetings and have your voice heard! You may also be interested in joining a NAILD committee like the Sustainability Committee. Contact NAILD for more details on this.

If you would like to support the Lighting and Darkness Research Foundation you can make a one-time or monthly donation on the Restoring Darkness website. You can also join in with NAILD and the Lighting and Darkness Research Foundation as they take on “Darkness Campaigns” to fight light pollution like the Save Wasatch Back Night Skies Campaign.

I would like to attend the NAILD 2024 Convention, how can I secure my spot?

I am having issues with video playback on the courses, what can be done?

Some people are having issues getting training videos to play due to their firewall blocking akamaized.net which is the CDN for NAILD’s video host. The problem that occurs is upon hitting play, the video spins continuously without starting. If you hit pause and play again, the video does begin. The other option is to whitelist akamaized.net on your firewall and the videos will play right when you click play. We are working on finding a way to make sure the videos are not getting tripped up by firewalls but the solutions above will do the trick for now. If you continue to have issues or any other video playback issues arise please report them to info@naild.org.

What video controls do we have when taking the LS courses?

When watching a new video, you can pause the video, maximize the screen or rewind 10 seconds. Users will not be allowed to fast forward through it until you have watched the video and clicked “Mark as Complete”. At this point you can come back to the video and fast forward/rewind as needed.

All LS videos now remember your progress if you leave the page! So now when you are watching a 60 minute video and have to close the browser, it will start where you left off when you come back.

I am taking an LS course and have tried all answers for a given question, why am I still getting it wrong?

Please read the question carefully and note that some questions have a “check all that apply” answer. This means if you have options A-F, the correct answer may be A, B, C, and F all selected. All questions on LS-I and LS-II have been answered successfully by others so please be patient and try again.

I have completed LS-I or LS-II and would like my certificate, where do I get it?

If you have completed LS-I or LS-II on the new NAILD.org learning platform, you can download your certificate at any time! Simply log in with your email and you will be redirected to Your Profile Page. Here you will see your course progress on all courses that you have access to. Click into the desired course, look for the certificate column and scroll down to see the certificate icon. Clicking this allows you to download your certificate. If you do not see the icon here, this means you either have not completed the course or did so on the previous platform. In this case you would email the NAILD office at info@naild.org for info on acquiring your certificate.

I am a NAILD distributor/vendor and would like to see course statistics for the other users in my company?

Each NAILD distributor or vendor has at least one “Group Leader” account. Group Leaders when logged in will see on their profile page the ability to hit “Course Reports”. This gives you full access to the course completion info for all users in your company. If you are not sure which account in your company has this Group Leader access or would like to have another user have this access, please contact us and we will get it set up.

I am not a NAILD member but would like to take the LS courses, how do I do that?

If you are not a NAILD individual member or a member of a NAILD distributor or vendor company, you can still take LS-I and LS-II. Head to the links and you can order access. If you have any issues or questions please fill out this account request form and we can create an account with your email address. You can then reset your password, log in, and purchase access to LS-I or LS-II. Note that LS-Evolve is open only to NAILD members – have your company join today or join as an Individual Member to get access.
